How to Order


Where we deliver to: Westmount, NDG, Cote-des-Neiges, Montreal West, Saint-Henri, Cote-St-Luc, Verdun, Lasalle, Downtown Montreal (includes Shaugnessy Village, Griffintown, Little Burgundy)

Delivery days: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday (12pm - 8pm)

Methods of Payment accepted:
Delivery - cash, credit (Visa or Mastercard), e-transfer
Pick-up - cash, credit (Visa or Mastercard), debit, e-transfer 


How to Order:

Simply place your order online using our shop feature, send it to us by e-mail at info@lautrechoix.ca. or call us at (514) 369-1888. Details below.

For Pick-up (no minimum purchase is required & free of charge)

When placing pick-up orders by E-MAIL or ONLINE. 
As soon as your order has been seen, we will send you a confirmation notice by e-mail with an estimate as to when it will be ready (typically, within 24 hours after your order has been sent). When placing your order by email, we ask that you please be as specific as possible. For example, instead of simply writing "mixed greens", specifying quantity and what type of green is more helpful. This could look something like "1x leafy red or green lettuce" or "1x spicy salad mix". This will not only help us prepare your order more quickly, but will also ensure that we are getting you what you asked for!

Once your order has been prepared, we will then send you an e-mail that it is ready and waiting. This e-mail will also include the total amount and can be paid by e-transfer or in store (credit, debit, or cash). *Please wait to receive this confirmation before coming in. We cannot guarantee that if you come in before this confirmation is sent that it will be ready for pick-up.

When placing a pick-up order by PHONE .
Please call us during our opening hours if you wish to place your order by phone. We will do our best to take your order right away. Please be aware that if we have a large volume of customers in store at the time you are calling, we will schedule a call back with you to take your order. In this case, we will do so as soon as possible.

Curbside Pick-Up (option 1 of 2)
If you prefer not to come inside the store, we will gladly prepare your order and have it ready for you outside. Ideally, we ask that you give us an estimate as to when you will be arriving. This avoids leaving your order outside for unnecessary periods, which is especially useful on those hot summer days! *Curbside pick up must be paid by e-transfer prior to picking up your order. Any other payment would require you to come in store.

In person Pick-Up (option 2 of 2)
Your order will be prepped and kept waiting inside. To avoid waiting in a queue, it is ideal to pay for your order prior to coming in. If you prefer to pay in person that is also fine, but we cannot guarantee that there will not be some wait time. If you are unable to come by during our opening hours for your order, please contact us.                                                                    

For Delivery (minimum order $100 before tax + $5 fee)

The minimum purchase required to have your order delivered is $100 and there is a $5 fee. We deliver three days a week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Please place your order the day before you would like it delivered (or earlier). *Exceptions made for "Special Circumstances" (see below).

When you place an order online using our website, the total amount given will be an estimate and you will not be required to pay right away to complete your order. Payment will be finalized once your order is complete. See below for more details on "How to pay for an order placed online".

When placing an order for delivery ONLINE.
Place items in your cart as seen online. For items not currently featured online, please leave a note in your cart. When you are ready to check out, simply select the "ship" option in your cart and follow the steps. Please be sure to specify the day you would like your order delivered in the notes section, found in "your cart" (options are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday).

For payment, you will be able to complete your order without paying for it right away because the total amount given is an estimate. Once your order is packed, we will let you know your total. *Please note that we are currently unable to accept debit as payment for our deliveries. See below for accepted methods of payment.

When placing an order for delivery by PHONE.
Please call us during our opening hours if you wish to place your order by phone. We will do our best to take your order right away. When placing a delivery order by EMAIL.
As with pick up, we ask that you please be as specific as possible with your order details. For example, instead of simply writing "mixed greens", specifying quantity and what type of green you would like is more helpful. This could look something like "1x leafy red or green lettuce" or "1x spicy salad mix". This will not only help us prepare your order more quickly, but will also ensure that we are getting you, what you asked for! Please specify your delivery date in your e-mail as well (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday).

*Orders that do not meet the minimum purchase of $100
Orders that do not meet the minimum purchase of $100 before tax, will not be able to continue through checkout and will not be delivered. If you receive an error message online, please check that you have met the minimum requirement before contacting us.

Special Circumstances

If you are *age 65 or older, *have reduced mobility or *isolating due to Covid-19 we will prioritize your order and do our best to get it to you as soon as possible. Please specify these circumstances when placing your order, so that we may accommodate you. If you are placing your order online, you can include this in the notes section in your cart.

Availability of Products

All items in your order are carefully selected by the members in our team to meet the highest quality. At L'Autre Choix, our mission is to offer the best selection of local and organic produce from our neighboring farms, year-round. Naturally, this will fluctuate with the seasons depending on what's available and we do our best to update our inventory online to match our selection in store. If there is an item you wish to purchase that cannot be seen on our website, please leave us a note in your cart online. If any of the items are unavailable during packing, we will be sure to contact you with a recommended replacement.

How to pay for an order placed online 
When you use our online system to place your order, the total amount is an estimate. This is because we need to weigh certain items in order to determine their price and is also why you will only be charged once your order is packed. Once your order is complete on our end (picked and packed), we will contact you with the total official amount. If you still wish to pay online after it is complete, we offer the option to send an e-transfer.
